28th November - Speed Racing in Bang Saen!

Off to the races!

DAY 6: Wednesday 25th November - BACK HOME

After spending another restless night on very hard beds. It was fate (Coin tossing) that decided to end our road trip sightly earlier. So No questions asked it was HOME into the NavWench and Through Bangkok for a bit of a shopping spree it was! Bangkok being the traffic jammed up place that it is.....left us feeling alot like the little images below :)

It was then finally back home to Pattaya fo a great dinner at a little place called "Kaffa" (As in the Lime leaf people......) With my 2 great friends, Stef and Sadi!

DAY 5: 24th November Tuesday

Leaving the lovely little guest lodge was .....well.....GREAT....we couldnt be mor excited to rest our bones on the comfy seats of the Jazzy! (This is the "special" Garden bungalow we got.....)

We decided to punch in the local National Park into the NavWench and off she took us to............a tree.

It was then up through the forests (once we actually found the Khao Yai National Park) and were just awed by how beautiful and clean and wonderful it was up in the montains!

It was then back in the car to head off through Pitsonuluk (More like Pit-sonner-luck) As well as Lom Sak and then up to Sukothai where we found a great little place to stay called "The Lotus" ......for future tourists to Sukothai....THERE IS NO EUROPEAN FOOD TO BE FOUND! :)

DAY 4: 23rd NOVEMBER; MONDAY- ROAD TRIP START!

And off we went.....breaky at Deli Bean and then hit the road!

It was a drive from Pattaya heading north east through Bangkok and stopping in Autthaya; Where we spent some time looking at the ruines and took some time out to ride an elephant through Autthaya.

From Ayutthaya it was onwards and upwards towards Nakhon Ratchisma.

The windy twining road that is Highway 12....bends and loops over the mountains and through forests. Heading up and up towards Nakhon Rachisma. Out of no where we were suprised by 1. A Thai boy leaping out into the road infront of us and 2. A massive lake that we have NO idea how we didnt see until that point. So we stopped where this little guy had flagged us down for a quick and rather deadly meal. The little place we stopped at was ......um......quaint? With its sloping balcony that had probably never had so much weight on it until now. Our meal of fried rice with pork and sweet sour chicken was well.....equally as suprising. expecially whn you bite into what you think id chicken breast and it goes.....CRUNCH! This along with my rusted fanta bottle; and the laundry that formed part of the leaning balcony, made for an interesting meal

From this nameless lake......we doubled back down into Khao Keo? And found a lovely little place to stay called the Khao Keo Garden Lodge. Very sweet....with the most phenominal massues and a lovely little place! With Concrete beds! So concrete infact that the guests next door ended up sleeping in their car!

From the restless sleep in Khao Koa....it was an early start northwards towards Khon Kaen which was to be our next stop!

DAY 2: SATURDAY 21ST NOVEMBER - PATTAYA TOUR

Being a local Pattaya'n i thought the most apt way to engage Dustin in the life of pattaya would be to chuck him in the deep end. So off we went.....breakfast at La Bagette and a trip to the local Big Buddha!

It was then off home for a power-nap to recover from the default late night from before!
After that we went off to Treppasit Market....When anything can be found! Din-Din at the local market left Dustin feeling a bit worse for wear as the smells are rather over whelming; the food super hot and everything stinks like sewerage.....but none the less.....meals were had....

From Din-Din it was off to see the "REAL" Pattaya with the Lady boys; Porstitutes and other monstrosities downw walking street....Needless to say the 3 descriptive words that are Pattaya are "Oblivious; Obscene, Offensive"

DAY 1: FRIDAY 20TH NOVEMBER - COLLECTION

Well the start of the holiday was filled with anticipation! And with a 2hr delay in the flights....the anticiaption just rose! Although the airport has now got a great way to keep yourself occupied while waiting for "arrivee's". They are testing this pilot system where the customs corridors are filmed; so you can see the passangers as they depart customs comming through that long corridor before hitting.....(i was going to say civilization....but chose not to) Thailand. Entertaining as! You watch these weirdo's from all over the world; picking thier noses. Girls checking their make-up; babies running rampant; a quick bum squeeze; man-oh-man; the things one sees! So After an aticipation filled 2 hours my guest finally arrived and it was straight home considering it was 1:30 am already.....and so the Holiday began......
